Yomawari PS5 titles arrive in the West on November 5
NIS America has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 versions of Yomawari: The Long Night Collection and Yomawari: Lost in the Dark will arrive in Western markets on November 5, 2026.
The publisher announced the release date for the survival horror titles from Nippon Ichi Software. Both games have already launched in Japan on the PlayStation 5, with Yomawari: The Long Night Collection arriving on May 14, 2026, and Yomawari: Lost in the Dark following on March 12, 2026.
Yomawari: The Long Night Collection bundles two previous entries in the series: Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows. The collection originally launched for Nintendo Switch in 2018, first in Japan on October 25, and then in the West on October 30. In these titles, players navigate a rural Japanese town at night, searching for hidden items and interacting with spirits inspired by Japanese urban legends. Gameplay focuses on stealth, requiring players to hide, run, or use items to distract malevolent entities.
Yomawari: Lost in the Dark is a standalone entry in the series that debuted on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on April 21, 2022, before expanding to PC via Steam in October 2022. In this game, a young girl must venture into the haunted streets of her town at night to break a curse and recover her lost memories. The title introduces character customization options, allowing players to change their character's hairstyle, hair color, clothes, and accessories. It also features a new mechanic where players can close their eyes to avoid the gaze of evil spirits, alongside a flashlight system for uncovering secrets and detecting nearby ghosts through sound design.
