World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test set for October 19

The gates are opening for the World of Warcraft: Forever stress test. Scheduled for October 19, this event aims to push the servers to their limits ahead of the game's official launch.

In a move to ensure server stability, Blizzard is opening the stress test to everyone. No subscription, Game Time, or beta access is required to participate. Anyone can join the fray to help test the infrastructure.

The stress test will take place on October 19 at the following local times:

  • North America: 2:00 p.m. PDT
  • Europe: 19:00 CEST
  • Korea: 06:00 KST (October 20)
  • Taiwan: 05:00 CST (October 20)

During the testing window, the current beta will be taken offline and is expected to return shortly after the event concludes. It is important to note that all characters, guilds, and names created during this stress test will be wiped once the event ends to prepare for the upcoming Name Reservation phase.

Players who have pre-purchased the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack, or the Warcraft Forever Collection will benefit from early Name Reservation, which runs from October 27 through November 3. Names will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event marks one of the final steps before the global launch of World of Warcraft: Forever, which is set to arrive on November 4. The last full day of beta testing is scheduled for October 21.
