World of Warcraft: Forever — Priest, Warrior, Hunter, and Druid Class Deep Dives

Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the details for class updates in World of Warcraft: Forever. The goal is to preserve the spirit of the original game while providing players with more customization through new talents and ability adjustments. The latest Class Deep Dives focus on Priest, Warrior, Hunter, and Druid.

Priest and Warrior Updates

For Priest, the updates focus on increasing flexibility across Discipline, Holy, and Shadow specializations. Fear Ward and Devouring Plague are now available to all Priests at level 20, and Shadow Word: Death becomes a baseline ability at level 32. Racial abilities have also been re-evaluated; for instance, Gnomes will gain Confounding Flash, while Undead will receive Dark Sacrifice to convert health into mana. The talent tree introduces a new 16-point milestone, featuring talents like Soul Warding for Discipline and Binding Heal for Holy.

Warrior adjustments aim to make Rage more reliable and bring certain utility functions into the baseline kit. The talent structure is also being updated: talents become available at level 10, and a new 16-point milestone has been added to the progression. Dual Specialization will be unlocked at level 40.

Hunter and Druid Changes

The Hunter update places a heavy emphasis on pets. Pet stats will now scale with the Hunter's gear, and a new pet family, Foxes, is being introduced. Additionally, abilities like Aimed Shot will be granted as baseline at level 20. Several key buffs, such as Blessing of Kings, are moving from the talent tree to become baseline class abilities.

For Druid, the focus remains on form adaptability and nature magic. Similar to other classes, the Druid talent tree will include the new 16-point milestone. Blizzard noted that some talents will return to their state from patch 1.12 of the original game to maintain a sense of classic gameplay.

Please note that all abilities and talents presented during this beta test phase are subject to further changes before the official launch of World of Warcraft: Forever.
