Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember: Release Date and Alpha Demo Details

In Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, players will rediscover the fast-paced combat of the original, now enhanced with evolved actions. Through the use of Insight Skills, players can evade enemy attacks, utilize the terrain for counterattacks, and perform more acrobatic maneuvers, including soaring through the skies to deliver blows.

The sequel also promises greater freedom through dynamic open fields that recreate iconic battles from the Three Kingdoms era, such as the Battle of Changban and the Battle of the Red Cliffs. Players will explore environments ranging from mountain fortresses to hidden valley strongholds. A new strategic layer is also introduced: players will need to raise their morale to survive and can recruit enemy officers to their cause to weaken opposing forces and turn the tide of battle.

Alpha Demo and Pre-orders

For those wanting a taste of the action before the March release, a free alpha demo is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store) until September 30, 2026. The demo features an in-progress character creation system, online multiplayer for up to three players, and the open field of Changban, where players can join Liu Bei's army against the forces of Cao Cao. Completing the demo rewards players with the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet for use in the full game.

Pre-orders are currently available. The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is $99.99 and includes a Season Pass with two major DLCs (the first scheduled for release by August 31, 2027, and the second by October 31, 2027), a digital art book, a mini soundtrack, the Shitieshou Hat, and exclusive armor sets.
