War Robots: Frontiers — How to Start Quantum Core and Use Relic Lancelot

The new mode requires both attack and Core defense: here are the first decisions without inventing hidden mechanics.

Understand Quantum Core's Main Rule

Quantum Core is not a regular point-capture mode. According to the official description, your team must capture the enemy Core and bring it to your base, but scoring is possible only when both Cores are merged. Victory requires a 3-point lead.

That changes the habit of sending everyone forward. If your own Core is lost or undefended, winning a fight may not turn into score.

Split Roles Before First Contact

  • One player should be responsible for defending your Core from the start.
  • One or two mobile robots should look for capture windows.
  • A heavy machine should escort the carrier instead of chasing damage elsewhere.
  • When ahead, shift priority toward defense and denial positions.

How to Read Relic Lancelot

Relic Lancelot is not just a new Battle Pass robot. The official description highlights reinforced shoulder armor plates, a heavy weapon slot, and Paladin's Ward. This is a frontline machine built to absorb damage, protect allies, and repair nearby teammates.

Do not treat it as a universal duelist. Losing a light weapon slot is a real cost, so Lancelot needs position and team support. In Quantum Core, it fits Core defense, carrier escort, and choke-point control.

Relic Thunder: When Heavier Makes Sense

Relic Thunder is described as a heavier Relic shotgun with lower energy consumption and more firepower. Before building around it, check not only damage but total configuration weight.

Remember the Balance Changes

Velite Temp of Fire drops from 89 rpm to 68 rpm, Horde loses Armor Damage, while Railgun gains Armor Damage but loses Shield Damage. Old builds should be retested instead of copied unchanged.

Typhon also deserves attention: Blackout: Jam reload slowdown increases from 1.5 to 2, and duration from 8 to 10.

First-Match Checklist

  • Play 2-3 Quantum Core matches to learn Core routes.
  • Check who stays on defense after the first capture.
  • Do not buy Relic Lancelot only because it is new; decide if you need a frontline role.
  • Rebuild Velite, Horde, and Railgun loadouts around new values.
  • Check Faded Glory before August 3 if you want Relic Lancelot or Artemis.
