Voca benches nosraC; team begins search for new IGL
Organization Voca has confirmed that Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly has been benched. The team is now actively searching for a new in-game leader (IGL) as they prepare for upcoming changes.
The decision to move nosraC to the inactive roster follows a difficult period for the squad. After failing to reach the playoffs at Elisa BreakOut Series #2 last week, Voca was effectively ruled out of qualifying for the PGL Major Singapore. This setback led to their exit from FiReSPORTS LAST CHANCE 2026, prompting the organization to revisit its leadership structure ahead of next season.
During his year-long tenure with Voca, nosraC was instrumental in establishing the team as a competitive force in the North American Counter-Strike 2 subtop. Under his leadership, the squad climbed into the regional Top 10, moving past teams like Masrborne, LAG, and regain. However, the team struggled to break through against the upper echelon of the NA scene, particularly failing to secure consistent wins against M80 and NRG, which resulted in several early exits from pivotal LAN events.
Currently, Voca sits at #62 in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), having previously peaked at #41 in March. The current roster composition is as follows:
- Wyatt "snav" Phillippi
- Paytyn "junior" Johnson
- Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado
- Derek "dare" Brown
- Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen (Coach)
- Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly (Inactive)
Finding a replacement will be a significant challenge for the organization, given the scarcity of experienced IGLs within the North American region.
