Valve Updates CS2: AUG Reload Speed Increased
In a new update for Counter-Strike 2 released on October 9, Valve focused on bug fixes, stability improvements, and minor gameplay adjustments. The most notable change is a 0.5-second reduction in the AUG reload time.
Alongside the weapon tweak, developers introduced a new ping icon to mark dropped defuse kits, making them easier to locate during matches. The patch also addresses several technical issues, including geometry errors on Rush mode maps and extraneous buzzing noises during demo playback. Additionally, the sound effect for a silent Desert Eagle reload has been fixed.
The update also includes localization updates and general stability improvements. While the patch primarily targets technical fixes, the adjustment to the AUG reload speed could impact how the rifle is utilized in competitive play.
