Valve Launches The International 2026 Update with Predictions, Fantasy, and Supporter Bundles
Valve has launched a major update for Dota 2 centered around The International 2026, introducing new event features ahead of the tournament's start. The release includes Supporter Bundles for all teams and talents, the return of the annual prediction challenge, and a complete overhaul of the Fantasy mode.
Supporter Bundles are now available for all 16 TI 2026 teams and over 100 broadcast talents. In addition to the four official broadcast languages, community bundles have been released for WXC Co. (Filipino), NS_ART (Brazilian Portuguese), and Maincast (Ukrainian).
Valve confirmed that 50% of revenue from supporter bundles goes directly to the featured teams or talent, while 30% is added to The International 2026 prize pool.
Players who purchase team bundles will unlock exclusive cosmetic content, including custom sprays, team health bar badges, emoticons, and chat wheel voice lines. A new Global Effigy (Gold tier reward) replaces the player's default base effigy until the end of September, with additional supporter levels allowing further upgrades.
The annual TI prediction challenge is back. Players can predict Swiss Stage results and Playoff bracket outcomes. Valve noted that no player has ever correctly predicted the entire Swiss Stage since the format was introduced. Predictions must be submitted before the opening match on August 13 at 10:00 CST.
Fantasy mode has been redesigned for TI 2026. Participants now act as the team's coach by assigning special modifiers that affect the entire lineup. The drafting system has also changed: both support players must come from the same team, safelaner and offlaner are drafted together from one roster, and midlaner is selected separately.
Top-performing participants in Predictions and Fantasy will receive exclusive rewards. The Tyrian Regalia Treasure returns with five redesigned Immortal items. Additionally, Valve introduced a new Terrain Token, allowing winners to choose one of six returning custom terrains, including Reef's Edge and Immortal Gardens.
Alongside The International 2026 update, Valve also released the 7.41e gameplay patch and the Summer Scrub 2026 Update, introducing additional balance changes, fixes, and improvements to Dota 2.
