July 9 Results
BBL Esports beat Team Heretics 2-1. Maps: Breeze 14-16, Lotus 13-2, Sunset 13-10. In the second quarterfinal, NRG defeated Gentle Mates 2-1: Haven 10-13, Ascent 13-9, Lotus 13-10.
The winners advance to a semifinal against each other on July 11. For both teams, the important point is that they won after dropping a map.
What Comes Next
On July 10, the bracket continues with Team Vitality vs Nongshim RedForce and 100 Thieves vs MIBR. Those series will decide the second semifinal pairing.
The key question is whether the other side of the bracket can avoid the same favorite-pressure trap.
