The legendary strategy title is making its comeback. Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition is set to release on October 14, 2026. This is more than a simple remaster; it is a comprehensive version designed to finally address long-standing issues regarding localization and content fragmentation.
The core of this edition is the 2011 classic developed by Creative Assembly, set in mid-16th century Japan. Players will lead a clan in a quest for unification, navigating two distinct layers: turn-based grand strategy on a campaign map and intense real-time tactical battles.
The Complete Edition introduces several key improvements:
- Full Localization: The game will feature full Japanese voice-over for narrations and a completely translated encyclopedia.
- All DLC Included: The package contains both major expansions: Rise of the Samurai (the Genpei War era) and Fall of the Samurai (the Bakumatsu period featuring firearms).
