Three-Way AIO Review: Cougar, DeepCool and Montech Tested

The 360mm AIO market is highly competitive, so we are testing three different approaches to cooling. Our lineup includes the DeepCool LT360 Vision, the Montech CyberFlow, and the Cougar LQX Pro. We look at build quality, noise levels, and thermal efficiency to see which one offers the best value for your money.

Different Approaches to Design and Features

Choosing an AIO often comes down to aesthetics, but technical differences remain significant. The Cougar LQX Pro focuses on functionality, featuring a 3.95-inch IPS-TFT display (720 × 720, 60 Hz) on the pump head for system monitoring or custom animations. A standout feature is the integrated VRM fan designed to cool the motherboard's power delivery area, though its speed cannot be controlled separately from the pump speed.

The DeepCool LT360 Vision targets the premium segment with a 4.5-inch IPS screen (854 × 480) and a 90-degree viewing angle. It utilizes DeepCool’s 6th-generation pump with a 3-phase motor and an expanded copper cold plate. The unit offers solid build quality, providing good cooling performance with relatively low noise levels.

The Montech CyberFlow is a more budget-friendly option, featuring a magnetic VRM fan aimed at cooling the motherboard heatsinks. Despite aggressive fan specifications—up to 2700 RPM and 7.24 mmH₂O of static pressure—this model proved to be the most controversial during testing.

Test Results: Efficiency vs. Noise

Testing was conducted using an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, comparing performance at maximum fan speeds and when noise-normalized to 40 dBA. The results revealed that the high-speed fans on the Montech CyberFlow do not translate into superior cooling. At max speed, it recorded a 67°C delta over ambient, significantly higher than its competitors. When noise-normalized to 40 dBA, the gap widened: Montech hit 74°C, while DeepCool and Cougar stayed in the 63–64°C range.

In AMD PBO testing, where average clock frequency is the key metric, both the DeepCool LT360 Vision and the Cougar LQX Pro achieved an average of 5.25GHz. The Montech CyberFlow, however, averaged just 5.11GHz. This highlights how higher temperatures impact the processor's ability to maintain high boost frequencies under load.

Comparison Summary

In terms of efficiency, the DeepCool LT360 Vision emerges as the strongest performer; it is the quietest at maximum speed and delivers the best thermal results. The Cougar LQX Pro is a very close second, offering similar performance and a feature-rich LCD screen, though it may come at a higher price point than budget alternatives.

While the Montech CyberFlow wins on price, it shows disappointing thermal performance. With high noise levels (up to 59 dBA at max speed) and higher temperatures, it lags behind its competitors despite its lower cost.
