Thermal Grizzly DeltaMate GPU Block: Now for MSI Suprim GeForce RTX 5090
German manufacturer Thermal Grizzly, widely known for its thermal pastes, is expanding its liquid cooling offerings. Following the release of blocks for the ASUS ROG Astral series, the company has introduced a new "DeltaMate" GPU block variant designed for the MSI Suprim GeForce RTX 5090.
The DeltaMate GPU block for the MSI Suprim RTX 5090 utilizes a two-part copper cooling system. It features a dedicated core-coldplate for the GPU and a massive VRM/VRAM-coldplate weighing over 900 g to cover the memory chips and voltage regulation modules. Both components are fully CNC-milled, precision-blasted, and nickel-plated. The contact surfaces undergo additional mechanical finishing to ensure optimal heat transfer.
The GPU core-coldplate employs a micro-fin structure with 0.2 mm wide slots and 2.5 mm fin height, resulting in a total surface area of 13,440 mm². Rather than using the skiving method, the manufacturer opted for full CNC machining to precisely direct coolant flow across the GPU, VRAM, and VRM components.
The block is housed in a black anodized aluminum enclosure with a viewing window made of Schott BOROFLOAT glass. Lighting is provided by 14 addressable RGB LEDs, controllable via a standard 3-pin 5V ARGB header on the motherboard. The unit comes pre-installed with brass Direct Terminals (G1/4") configured for front-mounted installation in standard ATX cases, though a Through Terminal with four connection options is available as an option. The package includes thermal paste, thermal pads, and putty.
The MSI Suprim RTX 5090 version of the DeltaMate block is priced at €498.90. For comparison, the version for the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 is priced at €549.90, while the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 model is also listed at €498.90.
