Theos: Cities of Myth launches November 4
The mythology-themed city builder from the Pharaoh: A New Era team arrives on PC this November.
Publisher Dotemu and developer Triskell Interactive have officially announced the release date for the strategic city builder Theos: Cities of Myth. The game is set to launch on November 4, 2026, for PC via Steam.
Theos: Cities of Myth serves as a tribute to the classic titles that defined the city-building genre. Developed by the team behind Pharaoh: A New Era, Triskell Interactive offers a reimagined version of Ancient Greece where history and myth coexist.
The core gameplay revolves around developing a thriving polis that satisfies both its citizens and the demands of a patron deity. Players must construct sanctuaries, manage complex supply ecosystems involving markets and production facilities, and establish efficient road networks. The choice of a patron god—such as Zeus, Athena, Hermes, Ares, Poseidon, Hera, or Dionysus—will shape the player's journey, influencing city development and the types of legendary heroes available for quests.
Beyond internal city management, players can expand their influence through colonies and interactions with neighboring city-states. The game features a dynamic regional balance of power where cities react to player decisions, allowing for various approaches ranging from trade alliances and cultural growth to military conquest.
As the metropolis grows, players can attract mythological figures and expand their reach through economic or military might. Currently, the game is confirmed only for PC; no other platforms have been announced.
