Subnautica 2 enters early access on May 14 as Steam’s most-wishlisted game

Unknown Worlds will open Subnautica 2 early access on May 14, 2026. The game is scheduled to launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S and remains Steam’s most-wishlisted title with over 40 million wishlists.

Players can expect a new alien underwater world and full four-player co-op support. The studio plans to keep the game in early access for two to three years before the full version arrives.
