Subnautica 2 entered Early Access on May 14. The DNA of the original is intact: exploration leads, not objectives. The co-op for 2-4 players works stably. Balance at higher player counts needs work. Content is limited — full release is 2-3 years away. At $29.99 (or free with Game Pass), it is fair for series fans. Wait for 1.0 if you want the full experience.
