Smash Fruit with Forks: Stick A Fork Launches on October 28
Korean indie studio FlowDot has officially announced the release date for their new incremental game, Stick A Fork. The game is scheduled to launch on Steam on October 28 at 8:00 PM KST.
The gameplay of Stick A Fork centers around cursor movement: players move the cursor over forks stuck into various objects. The forks react to the cursor, leaping up and stabbing back in to generate gold. This currency is used to purchase and upgrade new forks, while the jam produced from smashing fruit is used to grow a skill tree. To speed up progression in subsequent runs, players can utilize the Ascension mechanic.
Variety is driven by changing surfaces and expanding toolsets. Beyond fresh fruit, players will smash through tanghulu, jelly, glass, yarn plushies, and Pop It toys. The available tools will evolve from simple forks, spatulas, and knives to kunai, machetes, and chainsaws. Random events on the table also add unpredictability, such as catching a passing honey pot to trigger 'Honey Time' or interacting with the airborne 'Flip Sword'.
The full release will introduce 'Transcendence'—a tier above Ascension—along with a story ending and an endless mode. FlowDot also disclosed that AI was utilized for multi-language translation, a detail noted on the game's Steam store page.
The game is coming to PC (Windows). Ahead of the launch, Stick A Fork will participate in Steam Next Fest, running from October 20 to 27 KST.
