Valve opened the June Steam Next Fest, a PC discovery event built around playable demos, wishlists and fast genre exploration.
What happened
Steam Next Fest opened on June 15 as Valve’s demo-focused discovery event with playable builds, broadcasts and store pages for upcoming games.
Why it matters
Players can test games before buying, while smaller teams get a route to wishlists before launch. Next Fest tests feel, pacing and interface rather than trailer promises.
What players should do
The best approach is to pick a few genres, wishlist the demos that click and return to the games that still feel interesting after the first 15 minutes.
