State of Play & Japan return on September 3
State of Play and State of Play Japan return on Thursday, September 3, with two back-to-back broadcasts featuring updates from studios around the world and deeper dives into upcoming games from creators in Japan and Asia.
The first broadcast will be a new State of Play featuring updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. The show will conclude with an extended look at the world of Final Fantasy VII Revelation from Square Enix.
Immediately following, a new episode of State of Play Japan will air, hosted by Yuki Kaji. This segment will offer deep dives into upcoming games from studios in Japan and Asia, including new gameplay footage and announcements.
Both broadcasts will be available live on YouTube and Twitch starting at 6:00am PT / 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CEST / 10:00pm JST. State of Play will air in English with Japanese subtitles available, while State of Play Japan will air in Japanese with English subtitles.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has noted that the broadcast may include copyrighted content, such as licensed music, that they do not control. Creators planning to save the broadcast as a video-on-demand (VOD) for recap videos or to repost clips are advised to omit any copyrighted music to avoid potential licensing issues with co-streams or VOD archives.
