Sony Announces Limited Edition PS5 Console Bundle and Accessories for Marvel’s Wolverine
Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled a limited edition PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console bundle and accessories tied to the upcoming action-adventure game Marvel’s Wolverine. The set launches alongside the game on September 15.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition PlayStation 5 console bundle and accessories, which will launch globally alongside the game on September 15. Pre-orders open August 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Inspired by Insomniac Games’ Battle Reborn suit and claws, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle features a bold yellow finish with exposed claw marks that let players peek under the hood. The included DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition showcases furious slashes inspired by Logan’s famous claws.
For owners of existing consoles, Sony is releasing special covers for both PlayStation 5 (model group – slim) and PlayStation 5 Pro. These are available in two distinct designs:
Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition — matching the console bundle.
Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition — featuring a premium metallic finish that evokes the adamantium bonded to Logan’s skeleton and claws.
A matching DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition will also be available for standalone purchase. All items are available at direct.playstation.com and through select retailers in regions where it is available.
The design was influenced by Jock, the Scottish graphic artist who contributed to the key art for Marvel’s Wolverine. He noted that marrying cutting-edge hardware with the energy of hand-drawn ink was an incredibly exciting opportunity. Marcus Smith from Insomniac Games added that Jock’s illustrations perfectly personify the kinetic and violent nature of their hero.
