skate. X Games San Van Guide: Spot Battles, Schedule, and Rewards

Getting Started

After installing 0.31.5, locate X Games spots and inspect the event card. Spot Battles behave as long-running Throwdowns, letting players improve scores throughout the event.

Record a safe run first to learn the spot boundaries, then change one section per attempt instead of rebuilding the entire line.

Building a Run

Open with a stable sequence and reserve risky tricks for a section where failure will not erase the whole run. Long spots reward continuity; compact spots favor rapid scoring.

Use Daily Leaders as a reference while respecting your time. Chasing one perfect score should not prevent completion of limited event objectives.

Schedule

The Season 4 mid-season update begins July 21. San Van Open runs June 2 through August 25, but X Games tasks and rewards may use narrower windows. The in-game timer is authoritative.

Claim available rewards and confirm server synchronization before ending a session.

Common Mistakes

Do not copy a leader’s line without accounting for your own control consistency. A repeatable combo often beats a theoretically expensive one.

If a server update changes task wording, follow the live client. EA may adjust live-event parameters without a full application download.
