Seven Two-Time Champions Compete for Third Aegis at The International 2026
As The International 2026 approaches in Shanghai, analyst Wykrhm Reddy has published a definitive list of contenders who can add another title to their collection. Seven players have already secured two Aegis and are now vying for a third. Additionally, twelve other participants have the opportunity to become two-time champions if they succeed in Shanghai.
Seven Players Can Win The International for the Third Time
The list of contenders for a third title includes representatives from several championship rosters of previous years:
- Miroslaw "Mira" Kolpakov — champion of TI10 and TI12;
- Neta "33" Shapira — champion of TI11 and TI13;
- Oliver "skiter" Lepko — champion of TI11 and TI14;
- Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu — champion of TI11 and TI14;
- Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk — champion of TI10 and TI12;
- Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov — champion of TI10 and TI12;
- Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen — champion of TI8 and TI9.
Topson specifically gained the chance to compete for a third title after joining LGD Gaming before the tournament. His return adds significant weight to the event, as one of Dota 2's most decorated players aims to extend his legacy once more.

Wykrhm also highlighted participants who have previously won The International once. If they win in Shanghai, each will add a second Aegis to their collection:

- Samuel "Boxi" Swan — champion of TI13;
- Martin "Saksa" Sazdov — champion of TI11;
- Denis "Larl" Sigityov — champion of TI12;
- Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan — champion of TI5;
- Maroun "GH" Merhej — champion of TI7;
- Zhang "Bach" Ruida — champion of TI6.
The International 2026 will take place from August 13 to 23 in Shanghai, China. Participants will compete for over $2.67 million.
