Rumors: 77even may join FPX for 2027
According to reports from Sheep Esports, the Chinese organization FunPlus Phoenix is interested in signing Richard “77even” Venskevychius for the next competitive season. This potential move could mark the first major roster change following a difficult 2026 campaign.
The 2026 season proved challenging for FPX, as the team finished near the bottom of every VCT tournament. They failed to qualify for Masters or Champions and missed out on EWC 2026 qualification. Their final major appearance was VCT 2026: China Stage 2, where they finished in 11th–12th place, ending any hopes for a Champions spot. Following that event, the team parted ways with Blendi “kovaQ” Kovaci due to inappropriate comments made during a livestream.
Currently playing for Pixel Lumina, 77even had a busy 2026, competing for four different teams in European Challengers tournaments. Playing the duelist role, he has maintained a 228 ACS over his last 15 matches. If the move materializes, he will join the existing FPX roster, which currently consists of Zhang “AAAAY” Yang, Ou “Setrod” Tai-keng, Colin “coconut” Chung, and Zhao “Xlele” Yanbo.
