Rumor: Sentinels to Sign OXY
According to reports from Sheep Esports, Sentinels is set to sign duelist Francis "OXY" Hoang ahead of the VCT Americas 2027 season. The American player is expected to leave Cloud9, an organization he has represented for over three years.
Francis "OXY" Hoang joined Cloud9 in September 2023 and established himself as a leading player, topping the regional rankings at the end of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2. Despite his individual success, the team failed to qualify for Masters or Champions over three consecutive seasons. While OXY's contract with Cloud9 is set to run until the end of 2028, the organization did not secure a partnership slot for the 2027–2028 cycle and is currently rebuilding.
In contrast, Sentinels has retained its partnership with Riot for the next two seasons. The club previously allowed Gurjivan "Jerrwin" Gill to seek a new team after failing to advance to international tournaments. Sentinels is scheduled to compete in Red Bull Home Ground 2026 in Los Angeles, where teams will compete for a $100k prize pool.
