Riot Games Presents Preliminary Changes for LoL Patch 26.16

Riot Games has released the preliminary list of changes for League of Legends patch 26.16. The update focuses on buffing three champions — Kennen, Gwen, and Azir — and implementing restrictions on early support roams.

The developers intend to limit early support roams, particularly when players leave the lane as early as level three. To address this, Riot will adjust the support role quest and nerf Poppy, Camille, and the Hail of Blades rune. At the same time, some of Camille's power is expected to be shifted away from the roaming support role and back toward the top lane.

Special attention will also be given to the matchup between mages and marksmen in the bottom lane. Riot does not plan to remove the differences between the two classes, including mages' early access to mana, wave clear, and unique power spikes. Instead, the developers will make targeted improvements to marksmen's survivability against magic damage and buff several systems associated with the class.

Sunfire is expected to receive an overall buff through increased damage against champions, while the Nasus changes are intended to strengthen him in the top lane without increasing his effectiveness in the jungle. Additionally, items like Eclipse, Tiamat, and Sundered Sky will see adjustments.

Riot Games will reveal the exact numerical values of the changes later in the full patch notes. The previous update, patch 26.15, was released on July 28.
