Monster Hunter Wilds: Title Update 2 Review — Worth Coming Back in 2026?
Monster Hunter Wilds launched in early 2025 and immediately broke Capcom sales records. Over a year later, the game continues to receive major updates. Title Update 2 is the most content-rich patch yet: new monsters, reworked endgame, and a long-awaited collaboration. Time to check whether Wilds still holds up.
Monster Hunter Wilds with Title Update 2 is still the best MH in series history. Come back — it's worth it.
What's New in Title Update 2
The headline addition is new endgame monsters, each requiring fresh tactical approaches and equipment. Capcom traditionally adds legendary creatures through Title Updates — TU2 is no exception, with the flagship monster directly responding to hardcore community feedback about late endgame being too forgiving.
Beyond new bosses, the Artifact Archive system was reworked: rare crafting materials for top-tier armor now have clear acquisition paths instead of pure RNG. This significantly lowers the barrier to high-end content.
Hunting Is Still Brilliant
The core Monster Hunter Wilds mechanics were brilliant at launch — TU2 doesn't break anything. All 14 weapon types feel unique, with distinct tempo and rhythm. The monster tracking system, dynamic weather, and living ecosystem still look technologically impressive.
Performance
After six months of patches, the PC version finally looks polished. CPU framerate drops have been fixed, and DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation support lets even an RTX 5060 deliver 100+ fps at 1440p. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions hold stable 60 fps.
Verdict
Monster Hunter Wilds with TU2 remains the best Monster Hunter in series history and one of the best action-RPGs of 2025–2026. If you've played before, come back — the update adds enough for 30+ more hours. If you haven't tried it yet, now is the perfect time.
