Monster Hunter Wilds Review — Capcom Made the Best Monster Hunter Ever
A Living World
The biggest addition in Wilds vs. its predecessor is the ecosystem as a living simulation. Monsters don't simply occupy zones: they migrate, hunt prey, and conflict with each other. This creates situations that weren't possible in Monster Hunter World. Capcom delivered exactly what the community expected from the series' next step.
Combat System
All 14 weapon types from MH World are retained and reworked. The Wound mechanics system is a new element allowing targeted body part damage to open vulnerabilities — adding tactical depth while remaining accessible to newcomers.
Technical Performance
Consoles offer quality and performance modes. The PC version received several post-launch patches improving stability. At high settings, this is one of the most visually impressive games of 2025.
Multiplayer
Co-op up to 4 players — series standard. Full crossplay between platforms. Regular free updates with new monsters sustain community engagement.
Verdict
Monster Hunter Wilds is MH World raised to the next level. Capcom didn't deviate from the formula but made every element significantly deeper. Essential for series fans, excellent entry point for newcomers.
