Registration for Pokémon Champions League in Gwangju Opens October 12
Registration for the Pokémon Champions League in Gwangju begins on October 12 and will run until November 1. The event is organized by the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency.
The tournament will be held offline on November 7 at the Gwangju eSports Stadium, bringing together trainers from across the country. The competition features two categories: Single Battle and Double Battle. The total prize pool is 3 million won, with 1 million won awarded to the first-place winner and 500,000 won to the runner-up in each category.
To encourage participation, organizers are introducing a 6-round cumulative points system instead of a traditional single-elimination format. This structure ensures that players can compete in multiple matches and interact with various opponents without being immediately eliminated from the event.
