Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso mod releases next month
A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2, titled Nuevo Paraiso, is set to release next month, bringing a detailed recreation of Mexico into the game's timeline.
Spearheaded by modder Rixus724, this expansion aims to fill the gap left by Rockstar Games' original map, which stopped at the southern border. The project recreates the state of Nuevo Paraíso in 1907, fitting seamlessly into the story and timeline of Red Dead Redemption 2.
The mod promises a living frontier experience, featuring quiet towns, remote ranches, railways, bandit hideouts, and territories under government control. Players can expect to explore beautiful landscapes alongside political unrest, government oppression, and a population struggling under an increasingly unstable regime.

A fresh trailer released over the weekend showcases cameos from both John Marston and Sadie Adler. While their inclusion adds grounding to the preview, fans are hoping these characters appear in the DLC's story without being accompanied by AI-voiced impressions of Rob Wiethoff and Alex McKenna.
Nuevo Paraiso will be available via Nexus Mods on September 16th. To run the mod, users will need at least a copy of the base game and RDR2's Script Hook installed.
