PUBG at Esports World Cup 2026: MiTH Tops Groups as 16 Teams Enter the Finals
MiTH finished the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS group stage at Esports World Cup 2026 with 119 points. Sixteen teams begin the three-day Grand Finals on July 24.
MiTH Leads After 12 Matches
MiTH scored 119 points: 51 placement and 68 kill points. T1 finished second on 110, while Natus Vincere placed third with 93. Defending champion Twisted Minds followed on 92 and Team Falcons reached 86.
Winning the group does not provide points in the final table, but the split demonstrates stable placement alongside productive fighting. MiTH earned more through eliminations than placement without abandoning late-game presence.
All 16 Grand Finalists
MiTH, T1, Natus Vincere, Twisted Minds, Team Falcons, Virtus.pro, GAM Esports, 17 Gaming, Team Liquid, Team Vitality, The Vicious Esports, Geekay Esports, AG.AL, FULL SENSE, Gen.G Esports, and Shadow Esports qualified.
JD Gaming, DN SOOPers, R8 Esports, Sharper Esports, Team Nemesis, TYLOO, Petrichor Road, and Four Angry Men were eliminated. The result follows all three group days, with every team completing 12 matches.
Grand Finals Schedule
The Grand Finals run July 24–26. Play begins at 1 p.m. CEST / 7 a.m. ET / 4 a.m. PT each day, with up to six maps daily and a maximum of 18 matches across the event.
The first two days build the standings and the future Smash Rule threshold. One poor map does not end a run, but missing placement points can force increasingly risky fights later.
How the Smash Rule Works
After Day 2, the Match Point threshold will be set ten points above the leader’s total. A team must first reach that number and then win a subsequent match. A Chicken Dinner before eligibility does not end the tournament.
If nobody completes the condition by Match 18, the champion is decided by the standard overall standings. The format separates consistency from the ability to close a decisive map while retaining a fixed maximum length.
Prize Pool and Club Points
PUBG’s main prize pool is $2 million: $650,000 for first, $300,000 for second, $200,000 for third, and $134,000 for fourth. A separate $25,000 award goes to the Finals MVP.
The winner also receives 1,000 Club Championship points, with 750, 500, and 300 for the next three places. The result therefore affects both the PUBG tournament and the wider Esports World Cup club race.
What to Watch on July 24
MiTH and T1 enter with the strongest group form, but group points do not carry into the Grand Finals. Natus Vincere and Twisted Minds were stable, while Virtus.pro reached 85 with significant kill production.
Day 1 is about patterns rather than only rank. Track which teams repeatedly bring multiple players into late circles, preserve vehicles, and distribute wins across maps. Repeatability creates the foundation for the third-day threshold.
What Cannot Yet Be Claimed
Grand Finals matches had not begun at publication, so this article contains no invented map winners, live scores, or predictions presented as results. Only group standings, finalists, schedule, and rules are confirmed.
Once play begins, results should be updated through official broadcasts and tournament trackers. Any roster or schedule change requires direct organizer confirmation.
