We review June's PS Plus Game Catalog as a single-player-heavy month with a strong RPG core and less multiplayer appeal.
Verdict
The June Game Catalog looks stronger than usual because of its major single-player focus. Final Fantasy XVI fills the big RPG slot, Sonic X Shadow Generations delivers fast action, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance adds a long historical RPG.
Subscription value
The value is not just the number of titles but the range of pace: cinematic RPG, platform action and slower immersive role-playing.
Weak spots
If you want a new competitive or live-service multiplayer game, June is not the cleanest fit. This is a campaign and backlog month.
Bottom line
MBG score: 8.2/10. It is not universal, but for PS5 owners who like single-player games, this is a clearly valuable month.
