Pinball Action launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms on August 13
Hamster Corporation has announced the release of Pinball Action as part of the Arcade Archives 2 series. The title will launch on August 13, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
The game is a remake of the classic pinball simulator originally released in 1985 by Taito (now Koei Tecmo Games). The new version includes modern control functions and additional game modes.
Owners of the previous version on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 can purchase the updated title for 330 yen (down from the full price of 1,100 yen) if they already own an account on both platforms.
New Features and Modes
Arcade Archives 2 Pinball Action introduces a Time Attack mode where players compete for speed rather than high scores. A rewind function allows players to undo their last action, enabling error correction.
The game supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and offers an improved interface with sensitivity settings for buttons and fire rate. Three online competition modes are available: High Score, Time Attack, and Cavalry.
