Philips launches two budget 144Hz QHD gaming monitors
The new 27E3C2500 and 32E3C2500 models from the 2000 series feature 1500R curved VA panels and 2560×1440 resolution, starting at £129.
Philips has announced two new monitors, the 27E3C2500 and 32E3C2500, designed for both office work and casual gaming. Joining the brand's 2000 series, these budget-friendly displays feature 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Technical Specifications and Key Differences
Both monitors utilize 1500R curved VA panels. The primary distinction between the two models lies in their size and pixel density. The 27-inch 27E3C2500 offers a density of 109 PPI and a 4000:1 contrast ratio. In contrast, the 32-inch 32E3C2500 has a lower density of 93 PPI and a 3000:1 contrast ratio.

The maximum brightness for both panels is 300 nits. While they support HDR10 and include SmartContrast technology to adjust backlighting, the lack of local dimming zones means users should not expect high-end HDR performance.
Gaming Features and Ergonomics
To reduce screen tearing, the monitors support Adaptive-Sync. The response time is rated at 4ms (grey-to-grey) and 0.5ms (MPRT), which is typical for entry-level VA panels. Additionally, both models include eye-care features such as low blue light technology, flicker-free operation, and a dedicated reading mode.

Regarding ergonomics, the monitors come with basic stands that allow tilting from -5° to +20°. Users can also use a 100x100mm VESA mount for more flexible positioning. Connectivity includes a single HDMI 2.1 port, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Note that only one HDMI cable is included in the box.
Pricing and Availability
The 27E3C2500 and 32E3C2500 are expected to be available starting in November, priced at £129.99 and £169.99, respectively. This positioning makes them among the most affordable options from major brands for 144Hz QHD displays.
