Peak climbs its way onto PS5 October 22
The co-op climbing game Peak, a collaboration between Aggro Crab and Landfall, is launching on PlayStation 5 on October 22.
The project Peak is the result of a partnership between two studios: the US-based Aggro Crab (known for Another Crab’s Treasure) and the Swedish Landfall (known for Content Warning). The game's origins trace back to a one-month game jam held in Seoul, South Korea, in February 2025, where developers from both teams worked together to create the title from scratch.
In Peak, players take on the roles of lost nature scouts attempting to scale a mountain at the center of a mysterious island. The gameplay focuses on survival and teamwork as players navigate through four distinct biomes. To reach the summit, scouts must manage injuries and hunger while avoiding various hazards, including tornadoes, poison clouds, birds, and zombies. The game features customizable difficulty settings to tailor the experience to the group's needs.
The PlayStation 5 version will feature all content updates, new biomes, and items released since the game's initial launch. A major highlight for the console release is the implementation of crossplay, allowing up to four players to climb together regardless of their platform. Players will also have access to custom run settings, allowing for more personalized gameplay experiences.
