PCCOOLER FC300-CS: Modular All-in-One PC with Separate Display
PCCOOLER has announced the FC300-CS, a new addition to its Fusion Core lineup that aims to solve the primary issue of traditional All-in-One PCs: the inability to upgrade hardware without replacing the entire unit. Unlike standard AIOs where the motherboard and processor are hidden behind the screen, here the compute module and panel are physically separated and can be used independently.
What changed and how it works
The FC300-CS is built on the FC300 platform developed by PCCOOLER itself. The compute module features an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor (Meteor Lake architecture) and two slots for DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM modules, allowing memory expansion without soldering chips. One M.2 2280 slot is provided for storage.
The display is a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. The manufacturer states a maximum brightness of 350 nits. PCCOOLER emphasizes that this is not just a Mini-PC on a VESA mount, but an integrated system with its own proprietary connection interface.
Practical benefits and limitations
The main point of the FC300-CS is separating the lifecycle of components. The screen can last for decades, while the processor will age within a few years. The modular design allows replacing the compute part while keeping the display or vice versa. However, this requires the availability of compatible modules from PCCOOLER.
The integrated Meteor Lake graphics are theoretically capable of light gaming at 1440p resolution, but performance will be limited. A higher refresh rate (up to 165 Hz) is beneficial not only for games but also for interface smoothness when working with windows.
Price and availability
PCCOOLER has not yet revealed the exact price of the FC300-CS or the start of sales. The device is available on the brand's official page, but international availability and the presence of other configurations remain unknown. The key question is whether the company will support the module ecosystem in the long term.
