PAYDAY: Aces High launches November 5

The cooperative VR heist game PAYDAY: Aces High is set to launch on November 5. Developer Fast Travel Games confirmed the release date and a price tag of $24.99.

Developed in partnership with Starbreeze Entertainment, the title will be available on SteamVR and Meta Quest. According to Fast Travel Games Chief Creative Officer Erik Odeldahl, recent playtests have demonstrated that the gameplay meets the studio's vision, allowing crews to coordinate approaches, scramble during failed stealth runs, and immediately prepare for their next job.

Players will step into the roles of The Aces, an elite group of heisters framed by business tycoon Warren Jupiter. The mission is to strike back at Jupiter by targeting banks, museums, and even his high-security penthouse. The gameplay features an expanding arsenal of weapons, including ARs, SMGs, and shotguns, alongside tactical gadgets like grappling hooks and sentry guns.

The game features four distinct character classes designed for different playstyles:

  • Ace of Hearts (The Mastermind) – focuses on planning angles and escape routes;
  • Ace of Clubs (The Ghost) – specializes in silent, surgical precision;
  • Ace of Diamonds (The Technician) – the gadget expert orchestrating destruction;
  • Ace of Spades (The Enforcer) – the heavy hitter for loud, high-intensity combat.

Starbreeze Entertainment CEO Adolf Kristjansson praised Fast Travel Games for their expertise in adapting the PAYDAY experience to virtual reality, maintaining the tension of stealth and the chaos of loud heists. The developers noted that player feedback from playtests has been instrumental in shaping the final version of the game.
