PARIVISION, Team Spirit, and 1w Team Start with Wins at BLAST Slam VIII
PARIVISION, Team Spirit, and 1w Team opened their campaigns at BLAST Slam VIII with victories. LGD Gaming, Aurora Gaming, and Team Liquid also secured wins during the first day of play.
In the opening matches, PARIVISION defeated Level UP with a 2:0 scoreline. Both Team Spirit and 1w Team required three maps to secure their results, defeating Team Nemesis (2:1) and Natus Vincere (2:1), respectively. Following these results, both teams sit at 1–0 in Group B.
Other notable performances include LGD Gaming's 2:1 win over Xtreme Gaming and Aurora Gaming's 2:0 victory against GamerLegion. Team Liquid also started their run with a 2:1 win against Yakutou Brothers. Meanwhile, the teams in Group C have yet to compete in their first series.
BLAST Slam VIII is scheduled from September 29 to October 11, featuring a $750k prize pool. The playoffs will be held in a LAN format in Malta. For several teams featuring newly updated rosters, this championship marks their first tournament of the new season.
