OneXPlayer X2 Mini 3in1 PC Launches with 8.8-inch OLED

ONEXPLAYER has announced the Japanese launch of the OneXPlayer X2 Mini, a portable gaming PC featuring an 8.8-inch OLED display and a detachable controller design. The device is available in two configurations, differentiated by their central processing units, and is scheduled to go on sale in Japan on September 11, 2026.

The OneXPlayer X2 Mini is designed to function as a 3in1 device, allowing users to switch between a portable gaming PC, a tablet, and a laptop mode. This versatility is achieved through a detachable controller and a magnetic keyboard. The base model, the OneXPlayer X2 Mini, is equipped with an Intel Arc G3 Extreme GPU, 32GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD. The higher-end variant, the OneXPlayer X2 Mini Pro, features an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 388 processor, 48GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD. Both models run on Windows 11 Home.

Storage and Connectivity

Both versions include a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD with PCIe 4.0 x4 support. To accommodate additional storage needs, the devices also feature a Mini SSD slot and a microSD card slot. The manufacturer states that this configuration is intended to support fast data access for AAA titles and AI workloads, allowing for ample storage of game libraries and creative data.

Connectivity options include one USB4 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless capabilities consist of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. The OneXPlayer X2 Mini Pro additionally includes a DC jack for power input.

Battery and Design

A notable feature of the hardware is the detachable 85Wh battery, which also functions as a stand. This design allows the device to be used in both battery-powered and direct power connection modes. The controller includes hall-effect joysticks, customizable rear buttons, two-stage adjustable triggers, and dual vibration motors.

The physical dimensions of the unit are approximately 331 x 138 x 22 mm at its thinnest point. The weight of the OneXPlayer X2 Mini is approximately 729g, while the OneXPlayer X2 Mini Pro weighs approximately 719g. In Japan, the pre-order price for the base model is 348,000 yen, and for the Pro model, it is 398,000 yen. During the pre-order period, a dedicated cover keyboard is included as a bonus for early purchasers.
