Once Human Will Add First Person Mode After the July 9 PT Update
On July 4, the Once Human developers detailed the upcoming first-person mode.
On July 4, Starry Studio published a dev blog for Once Human's First Person Mode. The mode is scheduled after the July 9 PT update and supports basic movement, jumping, climbing, shooting, melee, item use, and resource gathering.
The team stresses that this is not only a camera view. First Person Mode is meant to participate in the core survival loop: exploration, combat, looting, consumables, and gathering.
On PC, players can switch between first person and third person with Alt+C. On mobile, the switch button must be added manually through layout customization. Camera settings, including field of view, are also planned.
Some scenes may still temporarily return to third person, including story performances, certain Deviation skills, emotes, and specific interactions. The team says adaptation will continue.
