What this means in practice
NVIDIA calls this initiative "Verified Priority Access IRL." Essentially, the company has acknowledged that finding these cards at the launch price is now extremely difficult, so it has turned the opportunity to buy at MSRP into a privilege for event attendees.
It is important to note: NVIDIA has not officially confirmed that RTX 50 pricing or availability have worsened since launch. However, the fact remains that purchasing a GPU at the recommended price has become such a valuable proposition that the company decided to promote it as a standalone attraction alongside competitions and giveaways.
