NVIDIA GeForce NOW upgrades entire catalog to RTX 5080 servers
NVIDIA has upgraded its GeForce NOW cloud gaming infrastructure: the entire Ready-to-Play catalog now runs on GeForce RTX 5080 servers. The upgrade covers all service data centers and is already available to subscribers at no additional cost.
What changed
The RTX 5080, based on the Blackwell architecture, replaces previous RTX 4080 servers. Streaming performance at 4K 120fps has improved noticeably, with lower latency across the board. Ray-traced games benefit the most — NVIDIA reports up to 40% performance gains in demanding ray-tracing scenes compared to the previous server generation.
Day-one games on new servers
The first titles to launch on the upgraded infrastructure are Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light — both available on GeForce NOW on day one. Forza Horizon 6 benefits particularly from the upgrade: Japan's open world with dynamic weather and traffic is demanding, and RTX 5080 streaming lets you enjoy the game without compromises even on low-end devices.
Who gets access and how to connect
Upgraded servers are automatically distributed among Priority and Ultimate subscribers. Free tier users may also access the new servers during off-peak hours. No action is required — GeForce NOW selects the optimal server automatically when a session starts.
GeForce NOW is available on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS (via browser), Chromebook, and NVIDIA SHIELD. The Ultimate subscription starts at $19.99/month and includes priority access to RTX 5080 servers, DLSS 4, and NVIDIA Reflex support.
