NS Rb on winning Champions in Shanghai: "It would mean the world to me"

Nongshim RedForce player Goo "Rb" Sang-min discussed adapting to composition changes, maintaining motivation following the success in Santiago, and his ambitions to lift the trophy at VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai. In a post-match interview, he explained why winning in China holds particular personal significance.

When asked about securing the win on Summit during a closely contested series, Rb credited the team's long-standing chemistry. He noted that their established communication and familiarity with one another allowed them to manage composition changes more effectively than their opponents.

The conversation also touched upon the pressure following Nongshim's victory in Santiago. Rb explained that a shared belief in the team's collective strength has been the primary driver for their continued motivation.

Finally, Rb addressed the personal weight of a potential championship in Shanghai. Having competed in the Chinese league throughout 2024 and 2025, winning on Chinese soil would be a major milestone. "It would mean the world to me if I could lift the very trophy here," he stated.

Nongshim RedForce entered Champions as the Masters Santiago champions after defeating Paper Rex in the final. Their campaign in Shanghai began with a 0–2 loss to NRG in Group D.
