In the upper bracket semifinals of VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2, NRG and 100 Thieves secured their spots in the grand final by defeating LOUD and Leviatán respectively. The winners will face off on September 4, while the losers drop to the lower bracket.
NRG vs. LOUD: The series began on Ascent, where NRG took a commanding 7:5 lead before closing it out 13:7. Abyss proved more contested, with both sides tied at halftime; LOUD ultimately won the map 13:11 to force a decider. On Lotus, NRG dominated the defense after the side switch, allowing only one round and winning the match 13:5 for a 2:1 series victory.
Adam "mada" Pampuch earned Match MVP honors with 272 ACS, performing 20% above his six-month average. His standout performance included 59 kills and +19 kill differential against LOUD.
100 Thieves vs. Leviatán: The series opened on Lotus, where 100 Thieves built a 10:2 lead before closing the map 13:2. On Summit, they held a 7:5 halftime advantage and won six of the next eight rounds to take the map 13:7, completing a clean 2:0 sweep.
Timothée "Timotino" Lavigne Dupont was named MVP with 261 ACS, finishing 14% above his average. He recorded 31 kills and +7 kill differential for 100 Thieves.
The tournament continues until September 7, offering a $250,000 prize pool and two spots at VALORANT Champions 2026. The upper bracket final will determine the next challenger for the championship stage.
