Noctua x Pulsar Gaming Mouse with Fan Now Available at More Shops
The Noctua x Pulsar collaboration gaming mouse, featuring a built-in 40mm fan to cool the palm, has expanded its retail availability beyond select stores.
Noctua and Pulsar Gaming Gears have expanded the availability of their collaborative Pulsar Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition gaming mouse, moving beyond initial limited stock at select retailers like Sofmap AKIBA to include major chains such as Tsukumo PC Honma, TSUKUMO eX., and Pc Shop Arc. Priced at 28,600 yen (approx. $190 USD), the device is now available with sample units already stocked at TSUKUMO eX., signaling a shift from exclusive preview status to broader retail presence.
The Pulsar Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition builds upon the chassis of the standard Pulsar Feinmann F01, retaining its core performance specifications while introducing a unique thermal management system. The device features a perforated carbon composite shell designed to house a 40mm fan from Noctua, specifically the NF-A4x10 5V PWM model. This setup is intended to actively push air across the user's palm and vent heat away from the hand, addressing the common issue of heat buildup during extended gaming sessions.

Under the hood, the mouse retains the high-end Pulsar XS-2 sensor with a maximum resolution of 42,000 DPI. It supports both wired and wireless connectivity via a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The package includes an 8K wireless receiver equipped with a DPI switch and LED indicator, ensuring low-latency performance regardless of the connection method.

Control over the internal cooling system is integrated directly into the user interface. Users can toggle the fan on or off and adjust its speed using the mouse's side buttons, scroll wheel, or through the 8K wireless receiver software. Physically, the device measures 121.7 x 66.5 x 43.3mm and weighs approximately 73g (±2g), with a battery capacity of 500mAh powering five programmable buttons.

While the collaboration leverages Noctua's reputation for high-quality fans, it is worth noting that this specific implementation adds weight and introduces moving parts into a device traditionally valued for its lightweight profile. The primary benefit remains the active cooling capability, which may be particularly relevant for users who tend to run hot or play in warmer environments.
