Dota 2 dataminers have uncovered a new model for the hero Undying within the game files, revealing a previously unseen cosmetic set named Direstone Corruption.
The discovery extends beyond simple visual changes; the files also contain updated ability icons and new particle effects associated with the hero. These alterations suggest that Direstone Corruption could be an Arcana, a special item that grants unique abilities, though Valve has not yet officially confirmed this status.
The design of the new set bears a striking resemblance to a fan-made concept created by user Stef in 2025 for a community contest. It remains unknown whether the model found in the code is directly based on this specific artwork or if it represents an independent development.
This leak arrives shortly after Valve reintroduced the autumn event Quarteros Curios, which will remain active until December 4. While the official release date for Direstone Corruption is still pending, the presence of these assets indicates that significant changes to Undying are likely approaching.
