NCSoft unveils team-based survival FPS 'Like or Die' at Gamescom
NCSoft has officially unveiled its upcoming title Like or Die, formerly known as Project Bonfire, at the Gamecom Opening Night Live event.
Like or Die is a team-based survival FPS set in a futuristic universe. Players assume the roles of streamers on the Kwaiya Stream platform, competing to be the last team standing. The core gameplay loop involves collecting resources across the battlefield to purchase stronger weapons and items, while simultaneously building structures using cubic blocks to alter the flow of combat.
The game features a unique block-building mechanic where players can generate cubes at specific locations. These blocks serve dual purposes: they can act as defensive walls protecting the Nexus or create pathways for strategic entry. The Nexus itself functions as a respawn point, but it is crucial to note that once destroyed, respawning becomes impossible.

Aligning with the streamer theme, the game incorporates sponsorships and in-game events. Players can receive air drops and lucky blocks sent by sponsors, which contain powerful abilities and items. The trailer released alongside the announcement showcases intense combat utilizing these block structures and the destruction of enemy Nexuses.

To support the launch, NCSoft has simultaneously opened the game's brand webpage, Steam page, and official YouTube channel. A dedicated trailer provides a deeper look into the game's lore and visual style, emphasizing the live-streaming concept that defines the experience.

While the release date for Like or Die has not been announced yet, NCSoft plans to reveal detailed information sequentially in the future. Fans can follow the official channels for updates on platforms, regions, and specific launch conditions as they become available.
