My Friendly Neighborhood coming to Switch 2 on October 22
Survival horror My Friendly Neighborhood, developed by John Szymanski and Evan Szymanski and published by DreadXP, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. The title will also be available via Game Pass.
The game follows Gordon, a repairman tasked with shutting down the sudden broadcast of a canceled children's TV show titled “The Friendly Neighborhood.” Once a beloved program featuring colorful puppets, the show's unexpected return has taken a dark turn, forcing players to navigate a series of unsettling events.
My Friendly Neighborhood focuses on action and adventure with a focus on surprising scares rather than gore. Gameplay features non-linear exploration, various puzzles, and a grid-based real-time inventory. Players can use unique weapons like the Rolodexer, which utilizes the alphabet as ammunition, while exploring diverse environments such as Ray’s Workshop and Cardboard Crayon Halls.
The game originally launched on PC via Steam in July 2023, followed by releases on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in July 2025. The upcoming release marks the game's expansion to the next generation of Nintendo hardware.
