MSI launches RTX 5060 gaming PC with Core 7 230H
MSI has introduced a new MAG gaming desktop in China that pairs a GeForce RTX 5060 with the Intel Core 7 230H, a mobile-class processor from the Raptor Lake family. According to Fast Technology, the system is currently available for 7,799 yuan, which converts to roughly $1,160 or €990.
The use of the Core 7 230H is an unusual choice for a desktop configuration. This is an H-series Raptor Lake processor featuring 6 Performance cores and 4 Efficient cores, providing a total of 10 cores and 16 threads. The chip includes 24MB of L3 cache and boosts up to 5.2 GHz. It belongs to Intel’s Core 200H family and is designed around a 45W base power rating.
MSI pairs this processor with a desktop GeForce RTX 5060 equipped with 8GB of memory. The system also includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD. Power is supplied by a 650W 80 PLUS Gold unit. While a version with the RTX 5060 Ti is also mentioned, it utilizes a different chassis.
Cooling for the new MAG PC consists of a four-heatpipe tower CPU cooler and two ARGB case fans. The chassis is constructed from 0.6mm SECC galvanized steel and features a removable dust filter. MSI states that the internal layout supports both air and liquid cooling configurations.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. This specific configuration appears to be intended for the Chinese market, as MSI has not announced an equivalent Core 7 230H and RTX 5060 system for other regions.
