MSI unveils GeForce RTX 5080 heatsink in yellow for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 edition
MSI has introduced the GeForce RTX 5080 16G COD MW4 EDITION OC, a limited-edition graphics card developed in partnership with Activision. The model's design is inspired by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is set to launch on October 23.
Custom Design and Cooling Features
Moving away from the standard Gaming Trio look, this edition features a black and yellow color scheme. Notably, MSI has applied a yellow finish to the heatsink fins themselves, marking a first for the company's cooling solutions. The card utilizes the TRI FROZR 4 cooling system, which includes a nickel-plated copper baseplate, Core Pipes, and a heatsink featuring Wave Curved 4.0 and Air Antegrade Fin 2.0 technologies.
The hardware includes three STORMFORCE fans with customized hubs and a matching GPU support bracket. The rear features a metal backplate with a transparent section showcasing Ghost artwork, which partially exposes the underlying PCB.
Specifications and Availability
On the technical side, the card is equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory. While the specific boost clocks for this edition have not been officially disclosed, the card is based on the high-performance RTX 5080 architecture.
According to reports from KitGuru, which has performed an unboxing of the physical unit, only 200 units are reportedly allocated for the European market. Sales are scheduled to begin on October 23, coinciding with the game's release, primarily through the official MSI online store. The total global production quantity remains unconfirmed.
