Monster Hunter Outlanders launches October 29
The free-to-play open-world survival action game Monster Hunter Outlanders is set to launch on iOS and Android on October 29, Capcom and TiMi Studio Group announced.
Developed specifically for mobile devices, the game aims to preserve the core hunting experience of the franchise while introducing a brand-new world. Players will explore the living environment of Aesoland, encountering exclusive creatures like the Elder Dragon Ruger Aidal and other Radiant Monsters. The gameplay is optimized for touch controls to ensure a smoother, more freeform experience on smartphones.
At launch, the game will feature seven classic weapon types: Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun, and Bow. These weapons will work in tandem with original Adventurers through new Follow-up moves. Players can also rely on three Buddies—Palico, Rutaco, and Trillan—to assist them during hunts.
The game supports both solo play and 4-player cooperative squads. While the global mobile release is scheduled for late October, the launch in mainland China is expected to arrive in 2027. Capcom has also indicated that additional weapons will be added to the roster in future updates.
