The 42nd competitive season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is officially live, bringing a massive wave of updates to the game. This patch focuses on significant hero reworks, specifically for Masha and Bruno, alongside extensive balance adjustments and visual improvements to the Sanctuary Island map.

The hero rework phase introduces notable changes to playstyles. Masha now boasts improved synergy with other characters, though at the cost of reduced damage and skill frequency. Odette has gained the ability to move freely during her ultimate, albeit with a speed penalty, while Kadita sees a boost in river movement speed alongside a reduction in base movement speed. Additionally, Sun's roaming builds have been restricted.

In terms of balancing, several heroes received buffs, including Aulus, Argus, Aldous, Khaleed, Alpha, and Edith. Conversely, Zilong, Melissa, Miya, Hanabi, and Paquito have been nerfed to maintain competitive integrity. A key systemic change includes lowering the economic deficit threshold that triggers team bonuses for hero takedowns.
